Flicking through what I missed after the massive Marant post I did during fashion week, I found I'd missed Proenza Schouler's Spring '10 RTW line.

I love the simplicity mixed with the colours! It screamsssssssssssssssssss relaxed chic.

Need to go out quickly and look like a deliciously blank canvas? No worries wear THIS, how about day to night, PERFECT, just throw on that.

Stumbling upon Armani Exchange recently, simply because I procrastinate greatly when I'm in the middle of exams, I came across a new feature on the Armani Exchange webpage.

It seems like, everything these days needs to be made accessible for the technological generation (Gen Y) and above, therefore, A|X came up with an awesome concept. It's basically grasping the internet to create a more 'behind the scenes' look at what goes on with their sponsored events, or shows and even parties.

In early October, A|X:TV was released and is quickly taking over all things multi-media in regards to fashion.

You get access to a channel called the Armani Exchange Life Video system which features, weekly updates on trends, shows and the newest feature, video-diary entries made by the A|X models and an inside look into the night-life. It's almost like reality TV means fashion bourgeoisie.

It will also feature an interview module in which DJ's will be interviewed and a bit of vlogging by them will also be done.

I was scoping it out and they actually facilitated the feed streaming into YouTube, FB and MySpace, which means when the Fall lines start getting organised and shot, this channel will be providing all the 'behind the scenes' access to the campaigns.

I was contacted by the A|X Rep, and invited to share a special invite only link to the new feature, so for all my loyal readers who have stuck by me through this busy time (and lack of posting), here's a special treat!

I've been really busy and have horribly neglected the blog, and during the end of fashion week none-the-less.

I'll take the opportunity to let you know my posts will be less frequent, especially now that I have exams, and then I fly out of the country until January.

Firstly, I was kind of unimpressed with the manner in which, the style was downgraded to such a simplistic casual look. THEN I began to find treasures amist the looks I found were rather rushed, last minute, and in all honesty kind-of a mess.

I know I'm trash talking one of my favourite designers but it needs to be said, some blazer cuts made the models look neckless - NECKLESS? Is that 'in' now?

Above all, I'm positive designers must keep flattery of the silhouette in mind for the consumer. Eitherway I still loved it - I will not lie. The contrasts, and even some stripes, caught my attention - the fur reminds me of something she wore in a feature article I re-posted a month ago.

How many of you have found the PERFECT outfit you want all to yourself before it reaches stores? (Trust me if I had the budget, there'd be more than one I'd purchase/preorder).

I admit I've kept it low for Milan and soon to be Paris, because I find both fashion weeks receive the most coverage.

Anyway, I came across this really interesting concept of pre-ordering looks right off the runway? Yay or Nay?

Well, since most my posts have not been longer than three lines, I thought I'd focus on Mr Kirkwood's artistry for this particular post. I love him. I love the shoes. I first came across them last year when Jak&Jil's Tommy Ton, took an amazing picture of them on someone's amazingly stylish feet and I thought to my 'My goodness, finally someone who's come up with a shoe I can wear!' I love the platform trademark style, the Spiderweb heel is what essentially won me over in all its glory. I imagine if this had been out before SATC ended, it would've found its way into Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha's wardrobe, undoubtedly!

It's just an amazing style, I think you can pair it with basically anything. Jeans, dresses, shorts, skirts, t-shirt dresses and even dare I say it.. cropped pants.

Therefore, I think that Mr Kirkwood, has earned

of the Year for 2009.

I mean a lot of good competitors were out there this year. The YSL tribute pump was all the rage at the beginning of the year, not to mention the thigh high boot produced by many fabulously creative people. However, I cannot help feel those items may be a little dated, personally I purchased a pair of OTK boots, I love them. I'll continually wear them, but if I came across a real-life Blair Wardolf, I'm positive she'd look at me in disgust if I were to wear them say, next winter. It's so unacceptable. (hahaha)

Anyway, Mr Kirkwood, thank you for this amazing exhibition of artistry and style for 2009 and I'm sure 2010 will see many more fabulous demonstrations of why you're climbing into our hearts and closets!

Boticca, is a new and upcoming jewelry boutique which is set to make it big. The idea driving this boutique, is providing opportunities to unknown quality and innovative designers with the opportunity to sell us their unique designs. I've always hated seeing someone else wearing a ring, I thought was 'one of a kind' then finding out of course, it isn't. This doesn't happen with the production process at Boticca, since their aim is the create a limited number of each design and maintain a sense of exclusivity and uniqueness for their products.

It's due for launch in the next few days I believe so keep your eyes on Boticca, it's going to be huge.

Notice the long-sleeve mini dress seems to be here to stay hmmmm. Also, did anyone else notice, a LACK-OF jewelry?

London Fashion Week: Mary Katrantzou. Innovation at its' best!

Personally, I've only recently been following the fashion weeks, via Style.com. I log on, on my phone and flick through the updates when I'm waiting in line for coffee, on the train, or at uni procrastinating.

Anyway, I'm impressed with Mary Katrantzou.

I love her innovative digital age vibe. The patterns, the colours. I can see this working to the same level as Emilio Pucci.

I absolutely LOVE the fourth look. I find it incredible, sensational and a breath of fresh air.

NYC Fashion Week: Rodarte = Amazing?

Personally, I've flicked through and do not find it too appealing, however, that is if I took the look directly off the runway. If I were to style it or have Ms Alt do a spread (which I'm sure she will, naturally) I'll change my mind. I liked the theme but felt it reminded me too much of Poison Ivy from Batman and Robin. Which is completely unrelated in textures and colours, but for some reason I had her pop in my head.

Was it just me? Or did anyone else find that the arm tattoo art overshadowed the pieces? Central to the theme, blah blah blah, I know but I found I couldn't appreciate the dress/outfits in their entirety because there was just SO much going on. The draping, the mixing of what looks like leather and softer fabrics, the SHOES (which I LOVE), the dry ice poison fog and then there's these odd fake tattoos the models are sporting which match their gothic make-up. I felt like I was watching some vampire movie and couldn't find out what it was actually about because nothing but costumes created the plot.

Mind you, I heard this was meant to be amazonian, but there's hardly anything amazonian about it, perhaps the tattoo designs and that's about it.

See?

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate it. I just feel the collection could've been presented much better. OR this could've been a more amazing theme for a haute couture show, if they ever participated in one.

I've been pondering on what I'd put on my wish list at the moment, for what ever reason it may be. I've decided, I do not find the bunny ears by LV or Marc Jacobs hideous, I actually love them. I was flicking through last month's Australian Vogue, where there's a 'backstage' pic of two amazing models looking non-chalant and mischievous all-in-one and I decide right then and there that it wasn't the models, but the ears that made that picture amazing. Indeed, I MUST and WILL have them in some form. I imagine myself wearing them to the Spring Carnival races in a beautiful champagne dress with black and silver accessories.

Imagine, Bunny ears, pairing it with the 2.55 JUMBO Reissue.

Oh, the dream to wear those with this amazing Elie Saab dress under the beautiful spring sun, sipping on some Moët.

I'd also pair it with some Mimco and Thomas Sabo jewellery, simply because Pandora would not suffice, I'd use a lovely OVERSIZED flower broach from Chanel in an enamel BLACK, and have at least TWO COCKTAIL rings adorning my hands. *sigh*

Now, to find a way to make the Wish list into a Shopping List... Hmmmm any ideas?

Online Shopping Feature: QUEEN'S WARDROBE.

I received a lovely email from Nikio last week, informing me of his online shopping store, I've been quite selective in which reviews to focus on because I've been getting requests for onlines sites I do not necessarily trust or wouldn't consider shopping at myself.

HOWEVER, Queens Wardrobe IS a place I'll be doing some online shopping with, just as soon as they stock my size in the buckle peep toe bootie (I'm a 41 if it's small or 40 if it's regular make *hint hint*) and I'd loveeee to get my hands on the Mini Tee but alas, this too is SOLD OUT!

Secondly, let me add that Garance (ok I may have a girl crush here) has been doing some really nice posts lately, as as Coco! The regulars I usually visit have been a bit dormant but I don't blame them, it's summer in the northern hemisphere and here in Sydney we're only JUST beginning Spring, and it's still not warm enough to run around in dresses, but people still try. No doubt.

I do again apologise for the delay in posts, and infrequency, I do miss blogging and browsing fashion blogs which I haven't been doing too much of lately, I realised when I was still under the impression Miss@laPlaya and Garance were still MIA. Which is well, you know, not true at all!

My predictions for this spring, lots of version of the 'high-waisted' ensemble feature on streetstyle sights in France and gladiator sandals, (again). Boo, I want to see you girls whipping out some winter booties with summer dresses, punk it up a bit in a feminine way, if not, I will then you will see it CAN be done. Haha, ok I'm possibly over-estimating but I'll try it out and take pictures and hear your verdict, yeah? Ok, perfect!

I see the whole world and I want to paint it pink and black... Ok so it's not a very good attempt at changing the original lyrics to the Rolling Stones song but still...

Also up on LookBook, yes I'm starting to like the idea of posting pictures of my outfits - this means my digicam will need to be recharged and I'll have to figure out some good poses and BLAH re-touch my makeup for when I take the pictures. *sigh* I don't mind, It's growing on me :) I wore this into uni for my evening class today I felt quite cheerful, compared to everyone else in dark colours and I, in this beautiful beige-tinted pink and black contrast.

Also, this was taken on my macbook pro - which is from 2006, yes it's still up and running.
